I frequently get asked questions about what my favorite baby products and accessories of all time are.

It’s true that there are products today that I would tell my younger self to invest in, and other products that I would advise against.

One product I always loved but never had, was a sophisticated baby carrier. They always seemed a little bit more pricey than the other standard baby carriers, so I settled. Now that I’ve tried the LÍLLÉ baby carrier I wish that I hadn’t waited so long.

It’s light, cute, and easy to strap on. Putting it on feels the same as putting on a backpack. The cool thing about this product (and I’m a sucker for this) is that it is multifunctional! You can carry your baby in the front OR on your back!

This is the first time that I have carried a child on my back, and I loved it.

It kept my hands free, and the load was easier for my strong back to carry than pulling down on the front of my chest.

Angelina was very comfortable back there. It was like a piggy back ride only she was much more secure.

There were even a few moments were I sort of forgot that she was back there!

This product is definitely a Stephany’s Choice must have item. It would also make such a cute baby gift! It comes in different colors and can hold a child that weighs up to 60 lbs!! Wow!! Talk about a great investment piece!

Thank you so much to our favorite children’s store OLLIE & MAVE boutique for these gorgeous outfits!! We love soft high quality kid’s clothes and these are super stylish and adorable! I mean, did you see Alexander’s swimming trunks?!! It’s almost impossible to find cute boys clothes like this!

How happy is Annabelle, reading her very own Cover of Dallas Child Magazine?!! Thank you so much to the whole entire team for making us feel so welcome! This was definitely an opportunity of a life time.

I also want to give a shout out to the MS Dallas team for this gorgeous poster of Annabelle’s cover!! It is beautiful and we love it so much! The team there feels like family, and product and service is incredible.

Thank you so much for reading along! Hope you are having a fantastic week

It’s so hard writing this right now as it’s spring break and the house is full of kids.

It’s 4pm on Thursday and I’m about to go crazy with everyone jumping around all day.

The demands never seem to stop,”I need apple juice”, “Someone isn’t sharing”, and then BOOM the whole house is a complete disaster! Sometimes it feels as though life is just going from one meal to the next.

I’m starting to feel really tired and over it.

Even when we go somewhere it’s a whole to-do getting everyone dressed, ready, fed, out the door. Then, after a full day of being out, I still have meals when we get home, tired kids, bath time and then bedtime.

The issue we seem to struggle with the most, or what makes me the most exhausted is keeping things even. There is always someone who is worried about feeling left out, or not having the same opportunity as someone else.

I’m constantly questioning my parenting skills, wondering and hoping and praying that I am able to keep everything even and fair.

I think next Spring Break we will definitely take a trip out of town, mix things up and get out of the house. I even feel itchy to see something new, be somewhere new.

Explore, refresh, restart, reset.

Anyway, Tonight is a new night and we are about to go out and grab some dinner.

I guess it’s just been a busy and eventful few days (we spent last night at the ER with Alexander-long story, I’ll elaborate another time ;))

Hope you are having a wonderful day however you choose to spend it.

On a fun note, how cute is this Tobi caramel trench coat?! Feeling so London city girl in it, and I actually like the way it looks open almost more than I like it closed! This piece feels timeless and classic, and I can dress it up or down, which I LOVE!

One of my most frequent questions are about my hair color and what tips I may have to keep it long and healthy.

So I thought I would put a little list of my top tips to keep it strong, long and baby blonde!

Stephany’s Choice best hair practices

Keeping it blonde:

I have a hair stylist that I trust and love. When I get my hair highlighted I ask for a “mini partial” so only the top 20% of my hair gets treated (to look natural and control damage) .

I ask for the color “baby blonde” and make a point to say that I do not want any brass in my hair 🙂

I use violet shampoo to keep the brassiness down (2 times a week at least)

Keeping it healthy:

I don’t own a hair dryer or curling iron! I never put heat on my hair, I always dry it off with a towel and then let it air dry (if you see me on school runs now you understand :))

I never use hair spray or gel on my hair

I use tons and tons of hair conditioner and masks

I apply leave in detangler in my hair and then brush it gently

I try to wait every other day to wash it if I can help it

Keeping it long:

I try to wait as long as I can between hair appointments (2-3 months) and cuts

I cut my hair on my own straight across with no layers to look full and neat at the bottom

Thank you for reading along, do you have any favorite hair care tips or questions? Write to me in the comments below, I love hearing from you. All the hair products I live by are linked right here, so you don’t have to scour the web to find them 🙂

Don’t forget to check out Tobi , my new fav place to shop for cute outfits. This adorable dress is under $20 and comes in 4 gorgeous colors, I think I’m going to order them all! Loving these bell sleeves and cool vintage vibes!!

When life gives you lemons make lemonade.

It’s been a long week where almost everyone at home has the flu. I’m always the last man left standing and I joke it’s only because I can’t really afford to go down!

But I think the busy week and non stop sniffily noses have caught up with me. A lot of stress in a day and sometimes you just don’t see where things are paying off.

I guess I’m just in a bad mood.  I’m entitled to feel that way every once in a while.

On a brighter note, at least this cute dress is perfect for spring and we are ready!

Do you think brighter colors uplift your mood?

Cheers to the weekend and hope you all can recharge your batteries. All I want is a simple walk and a coffee, maybe even a good movie with popcorn- a tear jerker would probably be nice too.

Let me know if you are doing anything fun!

Happy birthday to my special girl Annabelle!! I can’t believe you are six years old already. We have been on this wonderful journey together and I am so proud of the little girl you have grown into. Smart, creative, sensitive, inquisitive, sharp, fun loving, fancy and just so much more. I enjoy your company now more than ever. My tiny bestie. When we run out of paper you start coloring on the tissue boxes, the napkins, the cereal boxes, on and on. I’m so worried I will forget these precious moments, the words, the stories the drama! Below are 12 fun facts we came up with together. Most of them were her questions, I feel they capture her essence. Happy birthday my little Princess, I love you more than you can ever know

So it’s my birthday!! Can’t believe that another year has gone by. This year was so special. I was secretly pregnant with Angelina last year on my birthday and this year I get to hold her tight in my arms! I feel like all my dreams have come true. I woke up to breakfast in bed, and the cutest surprise birthday party. Michael took one of my pictures and put it on my cake with hashtags like “#33” and “#RHOD” (Real Housewives of Dallas) and at the top was a “@stephany” hehe. The kids were buzzing around the cake forever and ended up pinching most of the blue icing off the frame,” to make sure it tastes juuuuuuuuth right”! Ha! Everything is more crazy and more wonderful with my favorite little party guests.

My goals for this year as of this moment are pretty simple

Live in the moment

Leaving the phone behind, sitting down to listen to a story, singing out loud to the song on the radio, and reminding my children how much I adore them are all front and center of where I want to be. I never want to miss an opportunity to hear their little voices, follow along to their favorite music and stop everything for a sweet cuddle.

Have balance

I need to make sure that I take a moment every day to ensure that each child is getting the love and attention they need and that I am able to carve time out for my own health, creative outlets and exercise. Now that I insist on walking every morning to the coffee shop I feel a lot happier for the rest of the day and think that overall the quality of my life has improved a lot. I also want to incorporate more date nights because I think that is also important for our relationship and vital to have a little fun without the children.

Set targets for myself

Some of my most important highlights since having children is when they overcome an obstacle or a challenge. I too have to set challenges and targets for myself to achieve personally and professionally. Carving out alone time to work isn’t always easy, but the balance of having a creative outlet makes me feel well rounded and have something to work on outside of the home. I have weekly, monthly, short term and long term visions.

Have fun

I never want to take things too seriously if they aren’t. I know life is good right now, and we can be as laid back and silly as we want to be! Play twister, eat the cupcake, run outside, bake cookies, read silly books, and build in time for margaritas and guacamole!!

Give back

I owe a ton of my good fortune to the kindness of others. My parents have helped us so much, my neighbors have been so kind. Sometimes just a kind word, a knowing smile, and helping hand can change the coarse of a persons day, week, year, life. I am so inspired by the kind hearts of these people that have helped us with nothing to gain for themselves that I too hope to be one who can love unconditionally, help a friend, child, family, or even stranger in need.

I want to give a special shout out to Target for teaming up with the amazing design house Marimekko!! Thank you so much for all this Spring goodness! Hats, bathing suits, beach wraps, kids clothes, on and on!! I mean how adorable are these prints, and you can even get away with mixing and matching!! I totally got a little carried away here, and typically shy away from prints but in this case, it just all seems to work so well! Which prints work and which prints don’t? How can you pull off the perfect print? I’ve put together 5 easy tips to keep in mind when shopping prints:

Keep everything else simple

Let the print be the statement. How easy is that? Just sit back and let the print do all the work for you! If you have too much going on, the impact will be lost and everything will seem too cluttered. Try simple, clean accessories and color accents.

Go for bold

Choose a strong bold pattern. Go big or go home. Right now it’s about having fun and making a statement, small prints aren’t going to have the drama or the fun flair that makes for an epic look

Color is key

Make sure that you first choose a color that is flattering, then a pretty print. If the color doesn’t work for your complexion there is not a whole lot a cool print can do to rescue you!

Keep it in the family

If you have a top/blouse/jacket in a print try to find a skirt/pant/ short in the same print motif. This will make you look pulled together and committing to the look makes more of a statement.

Have fun

This is always my favorite style tip. Wear something that makes you smile, something that makes you feel good. If you are happy, you will be beautiful.

Rush over to Target for unbelievable prices on this designer collaboration. The prints are fool proof, and look very designer, I’ve been wearing my outfit on constant repeat and have had so many compliments! If there were more looks I think I would have bought everything in my size and for my girls (yes I’ve hooked them up too!!)- Sizes run a little big. Happy shopping!

Let’s be honest, most days are denim days. Dress it up or dress it down denim is one of the most versatile fabrics in my closet. Paired up with a cute tunic cut and it’s like a cocktail of my two favorite things! I love a tunic shape piece. I feel it’s flattering and comfortable. In summer you can dress it up with a heel or tone it down with a flat. Rushing around town chasing the kids and running errands takes up a lot of my day and throwing on something as easy and pulled together as a denim tunic is perfect. I love the new “lace up” trend too. Most of the items I’ve seen out there that lace up seem sort of fragile or frilly. This one is a more practical spin on the trend.  I have to say that it was Michael that bought me this cute dress, he said it looked like me!! He was right, it was love at first sight! I love how it combines this season’s biggest trends, tunics and lace-up in one cute and practical look! This is a sensible purchase and I’m wearing it in heavy rotation right now!!

That’s right, we are going for gold! Is gold bold?! Can we pretend for a quick minute here that gold is a neutral? Essentially this is a very simple look. It was so easy to put together, fuss free and comfortable. This little A-line dress was really comfortable believe it or not, and the short sleeves gave it a more sporty feel. If you added a denim jacket and a pair of sneakers or sandals this would take the dress down a notch and give it a more causal feel. Add a heel for a more dramatic vibe and presto, the whole outfit is complete. Since gold can appear flashy, you don’t even need to accessorize at all. In fact doing so may take the look over the edge. This is the perfect piece to take if you are going on a weekend holiday because it won’t take any room in your suitcase at all, and feels dressy not fussy. Best part is? It’s on sale right now for (are you ready??) $30!!! Yes! All sizes are still currently available so rush over and grab your summer must-have!! Welcome, Sunshine 🙂 ♥
